This year I'm stepping away from my career to live and serve full-time among those experiencing homelessness — not to fix them, but to know them as friends. I can't do it without a community behind me.

From Engineering to the Streets

Six months ago, Christ in the City wasn't on my radar. I was an engineer with a good job, a Northeastern MBA underway, and a plan I'd been working toward for years. Then a mission trip to serve the homeless in Denver changed everything I thought I wanted.

"I arrived expecting to serve, but it quickly became clear that I was the one receiving a gift."

This year, I'm trading that plan for a year of full-time mission — learning what it means to love the poor not as a project, but as friends.
